B2B E-Commerce Platform Redesign for Leader in Temperature-Controlled Transport and Cold Chain Solutions

CASE STUDY

I steered a comprehensive redesign of a B2B e-commerce and order management experience for a leader in temperature-controlled transport and cold chain solutions.

The objective was to enhance their online presence and streamline business operations, using Salesforce Commerce Cloud as the primary platform. I leveraged my client’s latest e-commerce experience design coupled with their brand guidelines to redesign and build and more usable, enjoyable, equitable and useful ordering experience for my client’s customers. The site minimized complexity and enabled users to access inventory and order information more quickly and easily.

Research and Analysis

Assessment of Current User Experience: I began by assessing the client's current e-commerce and ordering platform using four key criteria - enjoyability, usability, usefulness, and equitability. This assessment served as a baseline for improvement.

Collaboration with Salesforce Experts: To leverage the full potential of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, I worked closely with Salesforce Business Analysts and other experts to understand the current user experience, pinpoint pain points, and identify opportunities for enhancement.

The collaborative effort of the team, guided by an in-depth understanding of the client's business needs and pain points, has led to the successful redevelopment of the B2B e-commerce and ordering site using Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The client's digital platform now offers an enhanced user experience, improved efficiency, and seamless data flow, aligning with the project objectives and KPIs defined for success. The transformation not only modernized the client's digital presence but also allowed them to remain competitive and responsive to the evolving needs of their customers.
